The Sharon Baptist Church was around for almost 20 years before this building was built, in 1904, under the Rev. A. S. Thomas. Its truly a beautiful building. If you find yourself around 1st and East Leigh Street in down town Richmond be sure to pause and appreciate the history that stands before you.
